Amir Javadifar (1984-2009)student of industrial management in Azad university of Qazvin city who was arrested on July 9th and during the people protest demonstration after announcing Ahmadinejad as a president ,died under torture in prison.He had injuries in his hand and nose before getting arrested.This news was published in Etemad-e Melli newspaper for the first time

As far as I can see the level of freedom in Iran is just amazing! In any democratic Western country these people demonstarating in the streeets would be immediately water cannoned, clubbed and TASERed. Then many of them arrested, charged with disordely behaviour, breach of peace, destruction of property and arson. Then judged and sentenced to heavy fines or imprisonment or both. And some people do die in "police custody" in Western democracies as well.
