One of the most close collaborators of ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Hossein Shariatmadari, had claimed that the opposition leader Moussavi be tried for high treason. "He is an agent in the pay of the United States, he said citing "irrefutable documents."

Let the U.S. just go in and give that midget an ass-whipping. Let's do this!

The persistence of the death penalty is something dreadful..then the hanging, can't speak about it.
I apologize for the question but i would like to understand if these 20 are protesters arrested or prisoners already condemned for other crimes, and therefore also "used" to frighten the people.

It reminds me of Tienanmen Square..so many good guys killed, arrested, disappeared, condemned to death, so much disinformation and terror by the regime. Sometimes i'm really low looking to this World who seems to don't understand our beauty and don't concede our time.
Time..it is important such as life itself..time for learn, for fight and for change things but also -simply- time for live our noble sentiments, for speak in friendship during summer nights, for write poems, for love and be happy.

People ask it and the governments don't listen.

With you, Iran!

Don't stop fighting. I can't believe that there are regimes that still execute for such reasons.

I notice tha Mr Valabbaygi has the communist party as one of his friends. Apparently he never read what the party did under its leaders like Mao and Stalin. They killed many more people than 29. With friends like the party who needs enemies?

My thoughts are with these killed humans. Shame on this regime! Shame on these absurdly wrong versions of men.
I hope and wish the best for all of you.
I continue to do as much as I can to attract attention on the issue.
Peace!

Saeed Khan,
You & my other Iranian brothers & sisters are incredible. Kudos to you!!! It's heartbreaking all the atrocities & deaths! And it's incredible the Persian people's resolve! No wonder! The blood of our noble and great kings Darius & Cyrus run in your veins.
We’re watching. We stand with you - Always, always always. We mourn every beating, every innocent death. We watch and pray for those who are caught in the blood thirsty regime's hands. We watch and pray for freedom & for democracy. May God put an end to all this brutality. May God protect all of you everyday, in everyway… Love You All:)
Long Live Free Iran!!!

Bless you, Saeed! You're the only site I go to for REAL Iranian news. Please stay safe. And who cares if you're a Communist! Capitalists also are responsible for millions of deaths (from faulty products, unsafe working conditions). That doesn't make the honest small business owner a murderer. Likewise, being a Communist does not make Saeed a murderer like Mao or Stalin.

My heart is broken watching this chapter of history unflod. Iran's long traditions have given so much to the world I cannot even imagine this is what their leaders do in the name of Allah. Let them burn in hell for all eternity.

If you took off your blinkers and did some research you would find that the communism of Mansoor Hekmat and the Worker-Communist party of Iran has nothing to do with the butchery and dictatorship of Stalin and Mao.

Workers of the world, unite!

Why doesn’t someone put a bullet in the head of Supreme Satan and his clowns and end this? Is it so hard to buy some of his own thugs to do to him and his criminal friends what they do to innocent people?

Senator McCain: (reported by Politico.com)
Neda Killing a ‘Defining Moment’
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) took to the Senate floor Monday afternoon in tribute to slain Tehran protester Neda Soltan, the young woman who was apparently gunned down by riot police during a post-election protest over the weekend.
A video of Soltan being comforted by friends as she lay bleeding to death from a gunshot wound has become among the most viewed videos on the Internet. Iranian authorities have blocked her family from holding a public funeral, The New York Times is reporting.
“An event took place [yesterday] which may be the defining moment ... in the struggle of the Iranian people to be able to peacefully disagree with their government ... without being killed on the streets. ... It has to do with a woman named Neda,” said McCain, who has pressured President Barack Obama to take a much tougher line against the Ahmadinejad government, which has cracked down hard on protests.
He referred to Soltan as “a living example — or the dying example — of martyrdom.”

Too bad our President Obama cares more about talking with a Dictator than standing up for the people in Iran who want and deserve FREEDOM!

Thank you Senator McCain!
